About Me

Christina Rose Ashby

A whimsically serious theater professional with a smirk

I grew up in Alaska, lived in Chicago, and now reside in Brooklyn, NY. My work is informed by all types of storytelling and I love sharing what I have learned throughout my career.

From devising to children's theater...

I made the leap from actor to director in my early 20s and haven't looked back since. I graduated with my MFA in directing from the Actors Studio Drama School and was part of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Observership Program Class of 2017-18.

Teaching and Coaching

They call me Ms. Christina...

I have taught both children and adults in Alaska, New York, and West Virginia. I have experience teaching private lessons, small and large groups, and in a digital format.

....wait. You do that too?

I have done almost everything there is to do in theater and delight in finding new ways to tell a story. The arts and creativity are a way of life for me and I enjoy meeting like-minded people.
