MY STORY

Since 2015, Christina Rose Ashby has been directing, discovering , and creating in the indie-theater community in NYC. A true multi-disciplinarian, Christina utilizes her skills to craft imaginative worlds and bring together diverse ensembles.


A believer in the written word and a lover of imagination, Christina strives to create safe and bold spaces where artists of all ages and abilities can reach beyond their potential.

Christina Rose Ashby holds an MFA in directing from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University. She also has extensive acting and improv training from acclaimed institutions in Chicago. Her work has been featured in the New York Times and Time Out Magazine and has been praised by author Neil Gaiman, Amanda Palmer, and Oliver Platt.

In 2018, Christina created Permafrost Theatre Collective, a new works incubator. PTC has not only produced Christina’s devised work, but has helped act as a starting point for numerous up-and-coming playwrights.
